The RE2make got me so jazzed about Resident Evil that I just had to keep the streak going. The original Resident Evil for PSX exists mostly as a historical curiosity nowadays. Anyone who knows the series will steer you toward the superb remake that’s readily available on most modern platforms.
Fortunately, historical curiosities are my specialty. And if I play it, you won’t have to.
The story doesn’t need summarizing. The STARS Alpha team is called into the woods at the outskirts of Raccoon City, and they’re chased into a mansion that’s full of zombies, monstrosities, and ethically atrocious superscience.
Lucky you: I picked the version with the worst soundtrack possible, so enjoy the comic stylings of these bad, harsh MIDI voices!
