I played the original Evil Within a while back, but I was so frustrated that I had to put it down, leaving the DLC for later.
“The Assignment” and “The Consequence” tell the story of Juli Kidman, a double agent embedded in the Krimson City police, secretly working for the forces behind the STEM. She’s sucked into the mental world of the psychopathic RUVIK and the DLC plays out her story, which runs parallel to Sebastian’s path in the main game.
While the DLC starts with promise by de-emphasizing combat, it devolves into the worst indulgences of the main game. Namely punishing resource scarcity and lots of instant death.
