Most games are about Europe, America, or Japan. That’s a shame, because those cultures only represent a small slice of what’s available to explore on earth. Detention is a game from Taiwan, about the occupation of Taiwan in the 1960s. Wei and Ray are trapped in their school with nobody around, and that’s before the monsters get there.
This is a really neat game because its horror is explicitly political in a way that you don’t really see.
